it will grow well in many types of soil,and planting zones from 4 to 8.

these are 1 & 2 year old roots.

you should just let them grow for 2-3 years befor cutting any spears.

just break off the dead tops in the late fall.

they will give you a life time of fresh delicious asparagus each late spring-early summer.
